The best source of information I have found for all of the family history is certainly the parents and grandparents. They remember the individuals and what they were like, and lead me into new directions.
For example, Marian (Heath) Hooper sent me some rememberences of her Uncle George Reinke Heath; including how he had translated the bible into Miskito indians as their first written language, was a genius at languages. So thinking of this, do a search on google for "Heath Miskito" and turn up a number of references, including eight books that George R. Heath published. He also seems to be a source for other later works regarding the Nicarauga Miskito Indian languages.
Meanwhile, the tedious work of "filling in the blanks" on the family history contains, with about 400 names left. Let's see, at 3 names a night, should only take me about 4 more months. At this point am working with the Callisons and their descendents...
