My Mom had posted some information in the feedback area, and it never arrived. Found that the feedback area was not setup properly, therefore if anyone had posted a comment it did not arrive, and would appreciate if you would resubmit.

I expanded the Beard family story, early history, with some information I have found that was originally published in the Pocahontas Times by Calvin W. Price (a relative? Lucille Beard married John Price..) dated Thursday June 4, 1931. I also updated some information under "legends" regarding Pearl S. Buck, I wanted to expand on the note I found in my Mom's scrapbook on the musing that Pearl S. Buck's uncle David officiated at a Beard wedding. I found David in the ancestry and determined which wedding he likely officiated at.. visit the legends area to see where.

I also added a biography for Dr. Samuel Christopher Beard, who played an important role and was cited during the Civil War by Col. George S. Patten (an ancester?).

Will continue to update this as I finish up the research into the multi-volume encylopedia and other information I am still digesting from Paul Franklin Beard.

I also decided to reformat all of the biography pages, there were some errors and the format did not fit well with the overall web site. I may have broken links in the process, so please let me know if you find erroneous links or data.
