Nathaniel Graham

Lately I have been having a lively discussion with Dottie Bathos, who is descended from the Graham line (Patti's grandmother was Mabel Graham, her father was Nathaniel Graham). She has sent along some more concise information re: the Graham line, and several photos ----

These references are very much appreciated, as there has been little published research on the Graham / Heath lines. Most of the information I had was gleaned from the Bible of Edwin Joseph Heath, Patti's Grandfather, and recollections of Patti's Aunt Marian Graham Heath.

Dottie also provided more complete records of the descendents of Nathaniel, which includes the MacEachern's, Gammons, Guillory, and others.


The name Graham was found to be used extensively in middle names of descendents of Nathaniel. He lived to the age of 91 in Trinidad, West Indies.

I was also contacted by Jacob Wilson Beard, our common ancestor was James Henry Moffet Beard, who fought in the Civil War. I was descended from James's son Josiah Paul; whereas Jacob was descended from his son Jacob Warwick Beard. Jacob grew up in the Beard, West Virginia, area, and provided some correction on his descendents. Always good to hear from a cousin!
